Senior Finance Assistant

The Emirates Group is looking for a Senior Finance Assistant to join its finance team in Mumbai. This role is suitable for an accounting professional who has good attention to detail, can manage deadlines and is comfortable working with financial records and accounting systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and reconciling financial transactions using Oracle Financials, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. The position will also involve checking sales and refund reports received from Emirates sales counters and following up on missing documents or outstanding items.

The Senior Finance Assistant will prepare sales-related invoices, monitor outstanding payments and support other accounts payable activities. The role also includes updating bank statement information in the accounting system each day and completing the required bank reconciliations.

Another important part of the position is reviewing agent accounts in Oracle Finance and ensuring that unallocated or missing items are identified and reported. The employee will also help reconcile BSP and CASS sales and refund figures, check ticket refunds and process relevant payments through BSP Link.

The role may also involve handling chargeback requests and communicating with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve financial queries. During month-end and year-end periods, the successful candidate may be required to provide additional support to the Finance Department.

Applicants should have a graduate degree or equivalent qualification and around three years of experience in a basic accounting role. Emirates is looking for a Customer Sales & Service Consultant to join its Contact Centre team in Malad, Mumbai. This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy helping customers, have strong communication skills and are interested in working in the airline and travel industry.

The main responsibility of the role is to provide excellent customer service while assisting customers with their travel plans. The successful candidate will handle enquiries, explain Emirates fares and services, issue tickets and help customers choose suitable travel options based on their requirements.
