Role: Flight Dispatcher

Location: DWC, Dubai, UAE

Shift Pattern: 4 days ON / 4 days OFF (Rotating shifts, including nights & weekends)

Key Responsibilities

• Flight Planning & Authorization: Develop, review, authorize, and file the Operational Flight Plan (OFP) using performance data, NOTAMs, weather, and payload weights.
• Fleet Flight Watch: Conduct real-time OCC monitoring and track progress across dry-lease and wet-lease fleets identically.
• Technical Synchronization: Apply precise fuel penalties and payload restrictions by cross-referencing aircraft MELs/CDLs from MCC.
• Crew Duty Tracking: Monitor crew check-ins and block/flight times to prevent Flight Duty Period (FDP) exceedances.
• Ramp & Operational Liaison: Coordinate with Station GHAs, Loadmasters, and ATC regarding fueling, turnarounds, cargo, and departure slots. (Note: Load control/weight & balance remains under Ground Ops/Loadmasters).
• Dangerous Goods (DG) Awareness: Ensure approved DG paperwork (NOTOC) from certified teams is filed in the flight folder prior to departure.
• Real-Time Data Dissemination: Update delay codes and MVT/LDG movement messages across systems for Engineering, Crew Control, and Customer Service.
• Briefing & Documentation: Issue technical flight briefings to flight crews, dispatch flight folders, and archive operational logs.
• IRROPS Management: Handle tactical re-clearing, alternate routing, and flight plan revisions during irregular operations under DOM direction.
• SMS Commitment: Strictly adhere to safety management policies by reporting operational risks and deviations.

Open Position & Qualification Requirements

• Flight Dispatcher
  • License: Minimum of an ICAO-recognized Flight Dispatcher license.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in airline or cargo operations, flight dispatch, or OCC preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficient in flight planning software, weather analysis tools, performance calculations, and fuel planning methodologies.
  • Languages: Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Core Skills: Strong situational awareness under pressure, high attention to detail, clear communication, and willingness to work rotating shifts (nights/weekends/on-call).
