On October 29, 1964, the Kuwait Dairy Company was formally established through a partnership between the Al-Humaidhi, Al-Qatami, and Al-Khaled families. Initial production began on a modest scale with approximately 200 head of cattle. However, strong demand, effective management, and a commitment to quality led to rapid growth. Within a short period, herd numbers increased to 600 head, accompanied by the construction of a fully integrated and modern dairy factory dedicated to the production of fresh milk and dairy products. From its inception, Mr. Jassim Abdulaziz Al-Qatami assumed leadership responsibilities and guided the company for nearly forty years, establishing the operational foundations and values that continue to shape its success.
A major transformation occurred in 1978 as milk production volumes increased across Kuwait and additional dairy farms emerged. This development prompted a strategic decision to integrate several farms under one organizational structure. As a result, company capital was increased from 100,000 Kuwaiti dinars to 450,000 Kuwaiti dinars, reflecting confidence in future growth and expansion. At the same time, a clear operational separation was introduced between farming and processing activities. The processing facility retained the name Kuwait Dairy Company, while the farming operations adopted a new identity as Kuwait United Dairy Company, each operating independently with separate boards of directors.
In the present day, Kuwait United Dairy Company is entering a new phase defined by innovation, modernization, and ambitious leadership. The focus on continuous improvement has resulted in significant expansion of livestock capacity, with the cattle herd growing to approximately 3,000 head. Advanced infrastructure investments have also been made, including the installation of Kuwait’s first state-of-the-art rotating milking parlor, capable of milking 60 cows simultaneously. This technology enhances efficiency, improves animal welfare, and ensures consistent milk quality in line with global best practices.

Daily raw milk production reflects seasonal variations, ranging from 20 to 30 tons during the summer months and increasing to 30 to 45 tons during the winter. All raw milk is delivered immediately to the Kuwait Dairy Company processing facilities, where it is transformed into a wide range of dairy products, including fresh milk, long-life milk, yogurt, ice cream, ghee, and other value-added products that serve households across the country.
