In 1963, Dar Al Shifa Hospital (DASH) was established as the first private hospital in the State of Kuwait. Originally, it was a maternity hospital located in Sharq, Kuwait city. Since that time, the hospital became a leading healthcare organization in the region.In 2003, shift in location allowed for an increase in both the inpatient beds and the outpatient clinics and eventually boosted the capacity to serve a wider segment of the population.Dar Al Shifa Hospital is 230 bedded accredited facility constitutes of inpatient rooms (Imperial, Royal, Junior and Standard), labour rooms, neonatal units, Intensive Care Units, Operation Theatres, Emergency Room, Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory, Outpatient clinics and sub-specialized medical/surgical fields. Also, it has well-equipped ancillary services with the latest technologies.
Accreditation
DASH prioritizes its employees’ development by fostering continuous education initiatives aimed at enhancing their skills, knowledge, and practice in alignment with international evidence-based standards and education. DASH is the only hospital in Kuwait that proudly hold accreditation as a provider of Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation.
