All you need to do is to visit the official online portal of the central government’s Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) and follow some simple procedures. How to update Aadhaar card details online?

Step 1: Open the official website of UIDAI (https://uidai.gov.in/) and open the “Update Aadhaar” section.

Step 2: Then you need to tap again on “Update Address in your Aadhaar” link. Once you click on it, you will be redirected to a page where you can update your address and other information.

Step 3: Now click on “Proceed to Update Aadhaar” link. Then enter the required information. You have to submit your Aadhaar number and the numbers and letters in the captcha verification shown on the screen. After that, you tap the ‘Send OTP’ button.

Step 4: Once you have received the six digit OTP on your registered mobile number, enter it. After that, you can update your information. For that you need to click on “demographics data” option. Click “Proceed” button and submit with latest details.

Step 5: Finally, you will also be asked to upload relevant documents to confirm the changes you want to make in your Aadhaar card. It can be changed if you upload those documents.

Each type of renewal requires some testing. To change the name you have to submit a scanned copy of one of the identity documents. To update the date of birth, a copy of the document proving the date of birth should be submitted. If you want to update your gender information, you have to use UIDAI’s face authentication system.

If you are renewing your address then you should submit a scanned copy of the address proof document. If you need to update your language information, you do not need to submit any document.
